Description

Hailing from the Yunnan province, this black tea version of the popular Dragon Pearl is naturally sweet and smooth with a touch of earthiness. Comprised of only the highest quality leaves and buds, expertly rolled into a large pearl-like shape. Subtle cocoa notes whisper gently as each pearl unfurls delivering a superior tea experience not to be missed. We suggest using 2-3 Dragon Pearls per cup for a sublime tea drinking experience.

"This has become one of my favorite teas! There's an almost chocolately taste to it. I find myself blending it with other black teas because it seems to go out of stock quickly. I'll make sure to buy a large quantity!"

"Amazing tea, I only wish it was a bit cheaper. I definitely prefer it over Ceylon Black, but for the price, I think I'll continue to drink Ceylon Black for a plain black tea. Be careful not to overbrew it, but it basically always tastes g"

"This tea is amazing! It's fun to watch the large balls of tea unfurl and it's a lovely cup to drink. It has a bit of chocolate to it, which makes it an excellent cup on its own and it's even better with a bit of creamer and sweetener. Can't recommend this one enough!"

"Although I admit I am not getting as much of the sweetness as some of the other reviewers, I can certainly detect some chocolatey and earthy notes. I find that the pearls unfold rather slowly and slightly giving your pot/cup a nudge while steeping helps them unfold. If they don't unfold, you do not get the full flavor, which would be a shame. I like my tea strong, and use at least 3 pearls per cup."

"Brews a burnished amber liquor. The aroma is the specific floral quality I've come to expect from Yunnan blacks, though this one comes with an earthy chocolatieness thatis a very nice complement. The Chocolatieness is a lot more prominent on the second steeping (7min). If you over steep this one, it'll taste like dirt, so be careful. If you take care of this tea, it'll take care of you."

"Great tea that is wonderful for traditional brew methods. There is so much complexity to this tea that much is lost when simply Western steeped. This tea tastes very earthy with subtle amounts of cocoa and herbal flavors. My only complaint is that it is not the other way around."
