Description

Mambo originated from the fusion of Cuban and American Jazz. Our Mambo blend is also a unique fusion of two similar, but quite different, styles: black teas from Yunnan and WuYi areas of China. Smoky, savory aroma, lingering notes of cocoa from the Yunnan, refreshing mineral finish from WuYi. Plush mouthfeel and succulent texture. The flavorful, rich body of our Mambo is guaranteed to jazz up your mornings and keep your feet tapping all day.

Story

The Mambo dance originated in Cuba, among its Haitian immigrants. The fusion of Swing and Cuban music produced this fascinating rhythm and in turn created a new sensational dance. The Mambo dance is attributed to Perez Prado who introduced it at La Tropicana night-club in Havana in 1943. It first appeared in the United States in New York's Park Plaza Ballroom - a favorite hangout of enthusiastic dancers from Harlem. The Mambo gained its excitement in 1947 at the Palladium and other renowned places such as The China Doll, Havana Madrid and Birdland.

"This one has a very smooth taste. My favorite of all the new ones I have tried recently. Love Adagio teas!"

"i am brand spanking new to 'real' tea so this review is likely worth nothing. this tastes like plain old black tea to me. i received this as a free sample and probably will not purchase again, as i prefer flavored teas like earl grey. it is drinkable and not bitter, but rather bland to my uneducated palate."

"A nice black tea with good color and flavor. It doesn't really stand out, either, though. Definitely worth the free sample, of course."

"I got this as a free sampler when i made my last order, and I was very surprised by how good it was. It had a flavor to it that i enjoyed but i could never put my finger on what that flavor was. Still a good tea. "

"Decent Black tea. I didn't find it to be anything particularly special compared to some of the other teas in the same price range."
