Description

We've taken one of the world's favorite indulgences, chocolate, and combined it with the exotic flavors and spices of Masala chai to create the ultimate treat. Chocolate flavored Ceylon black tea blended with cardamom, ginger, cloves, cinnamon. Make it extra rich by preparing with hot milk.

Story

The story of chocolate begins with Columbus' discovery of America. Cocoa beans were among the curiosities he brought back from his voyage. However, it wasn't until the conquest of Mexico that the Spaniards learned of "chocolatl," a drink made from cocoa beans that the Aztecs served Cortez and his troops. The Spaniards found the drink bitter. But luckily, the New World was also a source of cane sugar. Combining the two, and bringing the recipe to Spain, proved a booming business. The Spanish managed to keep it a secret for nearly a hundred years.

"My kids loved this as much as I did. Adding sweet cream to this was a good choice as well, made it creamy."

"I love chocolate. I love chai. This tea blends them almost perfectly! I love my chais to be VERY spicy and this one just misses the mark. But, I would definately suggest it if you like chais and would like a playful version."

"YUM! Love the scent and the taste. I tried this both ways, with water, and with warmed milk. If you like chai I think you'll like this, very flavorful, and not too chocola"tea". The scent was more powerful, I thought, when made with water."
