Description

Decaf Oriental Spice tea with a medley of oriental spices. Decaffeinated using a natural CO-2 process, that allows leaves to retain their delicate shape and flavor.

Story

From the hieroglyphics on the walls of the pyramids, to the scriptures of ancient religions, we find constant mention of the important part spices played in many cultures. Many of the spices, herbs and seeds we use today were first cultivated by the early peoples of the western world. In fact, our word 'aroma' was the ancient Greek word for 'spice.' Today, when spices cost so little, it is hard to imagine that once these fragrant bits were so costly, that men were willing to risk life and limb in search of them.

"I. Love. This. Tea. I've had the Oriental Spice (the caffeinated version of this tea) but for some reason, I like the decaf spice SO much better. Maybe the caffeine interacts with some of the flavors. All I know is this tea is sweet and flavorful and a perfect way to end the day. It smells divine, as well. I either have it straight or mix it with a little decaf vanilla (for sweetness) or decaf orange. Love it, and can't recommend it enough- even if you don't love spice teas, this one is amazing."

"Was hoping for decaf equivalent of excellent Masala Chai, but was disappointed. Although it seems to contain a similar spice blend, I find the cloves, ginger, and cardamom to be woefully underrepresented here. "
