Decaf Spiced Green

Description

Decaffeinated green tea from China, flavored with aromatic spices. Warm and citrusy, notes of cinnamon, cardamom, ginger, with a rounded, sweet texture and lingering spicy aroma. A gentle, natural decaffeination process retains the delicate shape and flavor of the tea leaves.

Story

From the hieroglyphics on the walls of the pyramids, to the scriptures of ancient religions, we find constant mention of the important part spices played in many cultures. Many of the spices, herbs and seeds we use today were first cultivated by the early peoples of the western world. In fact, our word 'aroma' was the ancient Greek word for 'spice.' Today, when spices cost so little, it is hard to imagine that once these fragrant bits were so costly, that men were willing to risk life and limb in search of them.

"I didn't like the spice flavor with the decaf green and much as I did with the decaf black."

"I ordered this to drink at night because I love the caffeinated version, but wanted to be able to drink before bed, but for some reason it's not as flavorful as the original. Seems not to have the same amount of spices in it. It's ok, but I think I'll try a different decaf next round."

"I am definitely not a fan of this tea. It had a strong spearmint taste to me and it reminded me of the taste of toothpaste. I gave it to a friend who enjoys it though"

"Just had my first cup of this. I thought there was star anise in it...which I don't care for in my chai. When I read the ingredients, it's not listed. Maybe it's the natural chai flavor or may the orange peel I don't like. Whatever...I'll be giving this one away. "

"If you like flavored decaf teas, I think this one is pretty good. The spice flavors for me are full but do not over power, and they do complement the mild china green well. I did not find it particularly good for more than a single steep (which some may expect from it since it is a green tea) but for the price (inexpensive), that was not much of an issue for me."

"Not a bad tea but the flavor is more spice than green. To similar to the 16oz bag of decaf spice I already own. "
