Description

Decaf Orange tea with pieces of mango and chunks of pineapple. Decaffeinated using a natural CO-2 process, that allows leaves to retain their delicate shape and flavor.

Story

The first encounter between a European and a pineapple occurred in 1493, during Christopher Columbus' second voyage to the Caribbean. Lowering his anchor off the volcanic island of Guadaloupe, Columbus and crew went ashore to inspect a deserted Carib village. Amidst the jungle foliage and wooden pillars, they came upon cook pots filled with human body parts. Nearby were piles of freshly gathered vegetables and fruits, including pineapples. Columbus passed on the exotic meat, but ate the pineapple.

"I thought the flavors balanced nicely with the black tea (as long as you enjoy coconut and pineapple). Some flavored teas have a chemical aftertaste and that was not noticeable here. A pleasant tea for evening drinking. "

"The more I've tasted this, the less I enjoy it. The flavors are mild but without toasting the coconut there's an unpleasantness to the overall flavor that almost comes across as artificial."

"While the smell takes you to another place, the flavor itself is mild. Worth the purchase, especially for those times when caffine isn't an option."

"Such a heady fragrance, lovely smooth finish. I wish pineapple black tea was still available, but am glad I've found an alternative!"

"I didn't like the coconut in it. It was not as sweet as most fruit teas I have enjoyed before."

"Decent. I'm not a fan of coconut so it didn't appeal to me."
