Description

A special Christmas tea for the holidays. An aromatic combination of premium black tea from Sri Lanka with spicy cinnamon, pungent cloves, and tangy orange peels. A great way to keep warm the whole year round. Indulge your taste buds. Give our Christmas Tea a try.

Story

The observance of the day of Jesus' birth was long in coming. In particular, during the first two centuries of Christianity there was strong opposition to recognizing birthdays of martyrs or, for that matter, of Jesus. Numerous church fathers offered sarcastic comments about the pagan custom of celebrating birthdays when, in fact, saints and martyrs should be honored on the days of their martyrdom - their true 'birthdays,' from the church's perspective.

"The balance of a spiced tea is always a bit hit or miss. This tea has a fairly light flavor, for a spiced black - my sister, who doesn't particularly care for blacks, enjoyed it. Ceylon base, so the tea isn't too bold, but be careful not to oversteep it as it can end up a bit bitter. I like it better with a splash of milk, and some honey to bring out the flavors. If you're looking for a strongly spiced tea, this probably isn't it, but it is a pleasant tea that has found favor with most of the tea drinkers of my acquaintance - good if you're making a pot to share, since it appeals to a broad range of tastes."
