Cream was one of the legendary rock groups whose influence is still found in the much of the music written since its demise in 1969. Together for three years, the band is mostly remembered for such classics as Strange Brew and Sunshine of Your Love. At its peak, its popularity was equal to that of the Rolling Stones and the Beatles. The most illustrious of the group's alumni is of course Eric Clapton, who went on to a successful career with Blind Faith, Derek and the Dominos, as well as many solo projects.
