Story

Ginger is indigenous to southern China, from where it spread to the Spice Islands and other parts of Asia. Chinese herbalist continue to call upon ginger to expel cold and restore depleted yang. In the Middle Ages, ginger was brought to Europe by the Arabic traders. At the time, it was primarily used for ginger tea, said to be effective in fighting colds and flu. During Victorian times, shakers of ginger were as common a table accessory as salt and pepper. Today, India is the largest producer of this yang-inducing herb.

"The tea had a strong chemical smell to me that wasn't reminiscent of ginger. I bought it to mix with my decaf peach tea, but found it to be nothing like other ginger peach blends that I've tried. I think I will toss the sample."

"This was pretty good, but it has a bit of a strange, bitter aftertaste. I usually make my own version just by grating fresh ginger into my favorite black tea, but this suffices for those lazier mornings (or when the grater is dirty, as is too often my case)."

"My mother-in-law adored this tea! The smell is nothing like how it tastes... Be sure to brew this tea before smelling it =)"

"Great tea for anyone that likes ginger. Not too strong, not too light, great for an upset stomach. "

"I guess you kind of have to know what you're getting yourself into with this flavor. It does taste like ginger which, by itself, isn't very pleasing. It tasted much better mixed with vanilla, peach, apricot, or strawberry."

"I was not a huge fan of the ginger black tea. I just did not like the combination of black tea and ginger flavor. I would love to see a straight away ginger tea offered from them. That would be great!"
