Hazelnuts are as healthful as they are delicious with phenolic compounds, Vitamin E, manganese, and proanthocyanidins that could help reduce stress and fight inflammation. This creamy roasted nut (aka filberts) grows in clusters within protective husks on the Corylus avellana tree. When ripe, the nuts drop from the husks to the ground where they are easily harvested.
