Description

Green tea from China with the delicate flavors of lemon and lime. A happy marriage of great taste and proven health benefits. Just the right touch of citrus flavors to liven up the cup. Makes a light and refreshing drink that's popular both hot and iced. If you are new to green tea, this lightly flavored tea may be a good place to start.

Story

Lemon, a common fruit these days, has a long and questionable history. Many countries claim to be its birthplace, including China, Malaysia, Iran, and the Indus Valley. The latter may win given the discovery of a lemon-shaped earring there, dating from 2500BC. In the second century of our era, lemons were grown in Libya and exported to Rome. There is even a picture of lemon in the mosaic at Pompeii. Lemon's popularity grew during the Middle Ages, when it was called upon to spice up bland meals. And, in an usual twist (ha-ha) lemons were used by the ladies in the court of Louis XIV to accent their lips with a touch of rouge.

"I was a little hesitant to try this one at first as i do not usually drink green tea; however, i was pleasantly surprised. The citrus flavor is not over-powering. Overall, a very lovely tea. "

"This is a great alternative to green tea with lemon. It has that tasty hint of citrus which goes smoothly with the green tea."

"This was my favorite green tea flavor. I purchased a 16oz bag. It also had a good price per cup ratio."

"One of my favorite teas, I actually think it smells like fruit loops cereal! For me, it doesn't recquire any sweetener and it has a very refreshing taste. Although I haven't tried it iced, I imagine it will be wonderful that way in the summer!"

"I liked this tea quite alot. I did two infusions at 3 min for the first and 4 min for the second. Both were very good, with a very good citrus flavor. I found this quite pleasant unsweetened and will probably continue to drink it this way. "
