Raspberry Green

Description

The moniker 'berry' is actually misleading, for the raspberry is actually a cluster of drupelets around a central core. When picked, the drupelets detach from the core, unlike true berries, which stay attached. However, you're sure to remain attached to our Raspberry Green tea, which combines the sweetly tart flavor of red raspberries and premium green tea from China.

Story

The genus Raspberry consists of over 200 distinct species, however, only two of these are presently cultivated. The first mention of raspberry comes from the people of Troy (Helen perhaps?), located in modern-day Turkey. Its original name was 'ida,' a reference to the mountain on which it was first spotted. The medicinal properties believed to cluster in its leaves was of more interest to its early users than the sweet, red fruit. Today, you can find red raspberries, as well as black, purple and golden.

"This raspberry tastes good but it's not my favorite but I still would buy it again. "

"Works awesome as an iced tea, the raspberry flavor is not overpowering and is nicely balanced with the green tea. "

"Was a very solidly good tea. I enjoyed it significantly better iced, though."

"This is my new favorite for iced tea. The fragrance is divine and the raspberry flavor is pronounced but not overwhelming. I worried that it would be too tart but found that there was no 'pucker' to it at all. Love it!"

"Very nice flavor. This is a close runner-up to my favorite tea (white jasmine silver needle)."

"Lovely raspberry flavor, and the tea is fairly mild. Don't over-brew, or it will get a bit bitter, as greens might do when steeped for too long. Very good with a spoonful of honey."
