Description

A delicious blend of natural fruits and spices that brews up a mouthwatering cup of herbal tea. Entirely caffeine free, it holds a special appeal for kids and sweet-toothed adults. Yet contains no sugar or other sweeteners. The flavor is all natural, emanating from apple pieces, hibiscus flowers, cranberries and raspberries. Great served both hot and as an iced tea. Highly addictive; Please proceed with caution!

Story

The genus Raspberry consists of over 200 distinct species, however, only two of these are presently cultivated. The first mention of raspberry comes from the people of Troy (Helen perhaps?), located in modern-day Turkey. Its original name was "ida," a reference to the mountain on which it was first spotted. The medicinal properties believed to cluster in its leaves was of more interest to its early users than the sweet, red fruit. Slang references to raspberry were of course developed much, much later.

"This is one of my favorites (along with Dewy Cherry). I tend to brew it strong (twice as much as the directions call for) and brew it long. Then I wait for it to cool on its own. Terrific!"

"My brother and friend like this one, but I've never seen the appeal...I guess you can eat it when you're done, though? Same as berry blues."

"I love this tea. It's very fruity without being terribly sweet, and it's even better when combined with many of the oolongs."

"This 'tea' can be rather tart if overbrewed/too much is used, but with a little sweetener(something I've been trying to avoid using) it's a nice tea. I could see myself brewing large quantities of this for iced tea. It produces a pretty color liquid, which is pleasing to (my) eye. "

"Very Bitter! I was not impressed with this at all. I gave it to someone at work and she said it was ok to make ice cubes out of to use with regular cold tea"

"Sweet and sassy, this blend has a good balance of tartness and sweet. It definitely tastes "fruity," but I wouldn't say that's it's necessarily a raspberry flavor... just fruit."
