Description

Our Phoenix Dancong is an oolong from Phoenix Mountain, China. These very special tea plants have been allowed to grow unpruned into large ancient trees and bushes, yielding exquisite, single bush harvests The one we have chosen intrigued us with its hypnotic orchid notes and lingering honey sweetness. A legendary tea experience we are pleased to offer.

"This made a pretty good cup of tea, but it was a bit woody to me. I didn't get as much of the peach, but I wonder if I should have brewed it at 180 degrees instead of 212."

"A pretty decent black oolong. Still not that "one" I've been searching for, but something that can be easily drunk everyday."

"Interesting! Definitely got the peachy/apricot flavors others talked about. Has its own sweetness that makes it pleasant. "

"This particular oolong has a stronger flavor in my opinion than the rest of the oolongs I've tried. Good with honey, but i'm not sure if this is one of my favorites. "

"Not my favorite. But, I also do not usually like darker roasted oolong. For me this tea just never seemed to have a clear flavor, it seemed watered down and muddled. But, someone who appreciates dark oolongs more than I do is likely to disagree."

"This is the best oolong I've had in a long time. Be generous with the leaves and you'll be rewarded."
