Description

Oolong tea from the Fujian province of China infused with the delicate scent of the night-blooming jasmine flowers. If you enjoy jasmine tea, we urge you to try the sublime taste of its well-made varieties. Our 'Jasmine Suite no. 5' is a Chun Hao grade tea that is a suitable daily treat. It produces a sweet cup with a light and lingering scent of fresh jasmine flowers.

Story

Though sometimes referred to as green, jasmine teas are technically oolongs. They are prepared by mixing the delicate flowers of the night-blooming jasmine with tea each evening. With nightfall, the blossoms open and infuse the tea with their sweet aroma. Each morning, the spent flowers are removed and fresh blossoms readied for the evening. This process is repeated a number of times, depending on the grade of tea. For top jasmine grades, the nightly infusion continue for twelve consecutive nights.

"The lesser of the jasmines I have tried but one I keep in good quantity as it serves as more of an everyday jasmine, not as special as #12 or #9 but a quality oolong jasmine. This, when I tried it first from Adagio blew everyone's jasmine teas out of the water. It makes a more subdued cup with just a tough of jasmine. A wonderful cup for a meal rather than just enjoying the tea alone."

"I love Jasmine teas & every time I have some when dining out I pledge to buy some. Well I finally ordered a sample of this one & #9. This fell a bit short for me so I won't be reordering, it tasted a bit more bitter than what I was searching for. Now my mom on the other hand, loves it!"
