Description

White tea from the Fujian province of China. Snowbud as its name implies is an airy, light tea. And yields a cup worthy of its name: it is effervescent and graceful, with delicate, clean aroma. Snowbud is comprised exclusively of unprocessed leaves and buds, all gathered and dried in the early days of spring. Of all the teas we offer, our "Snowbud Finale" is the lightest one. If you enjoy the subtle, gentle taste of white tea, we hope you'll give this one a try.

Story

Fujian province is one of China's most prolific tea producing areas. These teas account for one-fifth of China's total tea output, and the consistently high quality keeps them in demand. A coastal province (Taiwan lies just to the east, across the Taiwan Strait), Fujian benefits from an excellent climate, combining mild temperatures, abundant rainfall and very mountainous terrain. The misty mountain scenery is a mainstay of traditional Chinese art. In fact, the traditional description of Fujian is '8 parts mountain, 1 part water and 1 part farmland.' Fujian has a long history of cultivating tea: over 1,000 years.

"This tea is great if you enjoy nice subtle and mild teas. Unfortunately that isn't truly for me as I'm beginning to think my taste-buds aren't exactly that strong even though I am able to get a faint taste of the tea. The odor of the tea itself however when brewed is great and it at least does not manage to disgust me."

"This whole leaf tea is one of the stronger white teas I've tasted. It needs to be watched carefully during steeping and cannot be steeped for more than 5 min unless you are looking for a bitter taste."

"Light and subtle. Not what I usually drink, but surprisingly pleasant anyway."

"I don't know if it's actually Adagio's 'lightest tea' (Silver Needle comes to mind) but it is very light, and surprisingly tasty."

"This is a delicious and delicate white tea, I still prefer the pai mu tan though!"
