Description

Premium white tea from Fujian region of China flavored with sweet blueberries. A wonderfully smooth and subtle treat, delectable both hot and cold. If you are beginning your exploration of white tea, our blueberry tea will serve a wonderful introduction.

Story

The blueberry is one of the few fruits native to North America. Blueberry was an important crop to the early Pilgrims, who learned about its cultivation from the Native Americans. A beverage made with blueberries was an important staple for Civil War Soldiers. There are two main types commonly grown blueberry: the smaller 'wild' type, known as lowbush and the larger highbush type. Lowbush blueberries are prized for their vivid color and flavor, while highbush blueberries are the most aromatic.

"When served hot, it is a bit on the dry side. It's much better when served cold with a small amount of sugar."

"If you can detect the actual white tea flavor you'll find it's light and tasty. However you probably won't as it's been steamrolled over by the taste of syrupy blueberry. It's an okay tea, but not great by far. I see that most reviews on here say the exact opposite, so it's likely my dysfunction. It seems I almost never like flavored white and green teas so if you feel the same way you might want to skip this one."
