Description

Green tea from China, decaffeinated using a superior CO-2 process. The latter is all natural and gentle, allowing tea leaves retain their delicate shape and flavor. Flavored with fresh apricots. Makes a tasty cup of tea, both hot and iced.

Story

In Latin apricot means 'precious,' a label earned because it ripens earlier than most summer fruits. A relative of the peach, the apricot was originally found growing wild on the mountain slopes of China more than 4,000 years ago. Apricots progressively made their way through the Persian Empire to the Mediterranean where they were fondly adopted. Spanish explorers introduced the apricot to the New World, and they were planted in the gardens of Spanish missions all over California. The first recorded major production of apricots in America was in 1792 south of San Francisco.

"This tea is AMAZING! When drinking while doing other things, I find myself expecting to sip in a piece of peach. I love the fruit flavor combined with the black tea, and I'm glad I went with the decaf so I can drink it as a night-time wind-down. I sweeten it with a touch of honey and add a splash of milk. (I have gotten two cups out of one infuser full. The second was less peach and more tea, but still quite nice, if a little weak)"

"This tea smells great and tastes decent, but it's not exactly anything to write home about! I only get one brew out of the leaves."
