Decaf Mandarin Green

Description

Green tea from China, decaffeinated using a superior CO-2 process. The latter is all natural and gentle, allowing tea leaves retain their delicate shape and flavor. Flavored with mandarin oranges. Makes a tasty cup of tea, both hot and iced.

Story

Orange, a common fruit these days, has a long and questionable history. Many countries claim to be its birthplace, including China, India, Burma, and Malaysia. During the Middle Ages, the fruit traveled from Asia to Europe, then along with the conquistadors to the lands of the New World. In its new home, the orange plant became fruitful (so to speak) and multiplied. Today, the Americas are the largest orange producers in the world, with most production clustered around the areas of Sao Paulo in Brazil and Florida in the United States.

"When I first smelled the bag I didn't think I was going to like this one at all. What a difference when brewed it is sweet and delicate unlike the hit of citrus you get opening the bag. I wish the mandarin was a little stronger but I'll definitely continue to buy this tea."

"Another great citrus tea from Adagio. Although regular green tea contains only a fraction of the caffeine that coffee does, I still try to limit my intake at dinner and beyond. It's nice to have options, and I love the mandarin flavor of this one -- it's unique, and I don't feel like I'm settling just because I'm choosing a decaffeinated tea."

"I am always looking for a good selection of decaf choices. I keep two pitchers of iced tea in my fridge at all times, one with caffiene and one without. Generally I prefer the herbal choices Adagio has to offer (see Honeybush Apricot). However, this decaf green has a wonderful flavor. Not too grassy and complimented by beautiful sweet citrus notes."

"Well, its a green tea alright but I can barely tell that is any Mandarin flavoring despite seeing orange peels in the tea."

"I bought this tea to drink in the evening. I am generally not a fan of citrus-tasting teas, but this tea blew me away! It is absolutely delicious, as citrus tones are very subtle"
