Honeybush Orange

Description

Florida is known for two distinct things: hanging chads and delicious oranges. In an effort to remain apolitical, Adagio Teas chose to use the latter as an inspiration for this tea treat. Combining the fresh, citrus flavor of Florida oranges and the sweet taste of Honeybush, it leaves no confusion over which tea you'll elect!

Story

Orange, a common fruit these days, has a long and questionable history. Many countries claim to be its birthplace, including China, India, Burma, and Malaysia. During the Middle Ages, the fruit traveled from Asia to Europe, then along with the conquistadors to the lands of the New World. In its new home, the orange plant became fruitful (so to speak) and multiplied. Today, the Americas are the largest orange producers in the world, with most production clustered around the areas of Sao Paulo in Brazil and Florida in the United States.

"I don't think I'd drink this on its own, but I love adding it to other flavors. It definitely has a strong citrusy flavor to it! Mix it with the honeybush vanilla tea and some milk for a wonderful 'creamsicle' blend."

"I don't understand why the honeybush teas are never very strong on their own. This works great mixed with decaf Ceylon (1 ceylon: 2 honeybush orange) to make a really nice orange scented tea. Alone though the orange makes things taste bitter and the honeybush taste like nothing."

"This is a staple for me for blending with many other teas, such as rooibos almond and mocha nut mate, or vanilla rooibos. "
