Description

Premium white tea from Fujian region of China marrying the tropical flavors of pineapple and coconut. A wonderfully smooth and subtle treat, delectable both hot and cold. If you are beginning your exploration of white tea, our tropics tea will serve a wonderful introduction.

Story

The first encounter between a European and a pineapple occurred in 1493, during Christopher Columbus' second voyage to the Caribbean. Lowering his anchor off the volcanic island of Guadaloupe, Columbus and crew went ashore to inspect a deserted Carib village. Amidst the jungle foliage and wooden pillars, they came upon cook pots filled with human body parts. Nearby were piles of freshly gathered vegetables and fruits, including pineapples. Columbus passed on the exotic meat. But ate the pineapple.

"Nice blend of flavors. Not as much coconut as I hoped for but it has a nice taste."

"Aparently white tea is a little too mild for my taste. It seemed a little bland but had a slight nutty and fruity flavor that was nice, reminiscent of pineapple and macadamia nuts. So I guess White Tropics is an apropos name."
