Description

Green tea from China with the curative benefits of ginseng root. A happy marriage of great taste and proven health benefits. Just the right touch of ginseng to liven up the cup. Makes a light and refreshing drink that's popular both hot and iced. If you are interested in the health properties of green tea and ginseng, this tea luckily combines both.

Story

Ginseng was discovered 5,000 years ago in the mountainous region north of China, called Manchuria. It quickly became revered for its strength-giving and rejuvenating powers, becoming a symbol of divine harmony. By the third century China was sending much of its prized silk to Korea in exchange for the wild root. Eventually, the demand for ginseng outstripped all available wild supply, and Korea began a commercial cultivation of ginseng, which continues to this day. Ginseng root is also grown in the US; some sold domestically, but the bulk destined for China.

"I think I still prefer Oolong Ginseng over Ginseng Green, but this is still a good alternative and tastes pretty good."

"Might be good for ginseng fans but to me it tasted like tea with some strange Chinese spices added. This sample went right into the trash. "

"Very subtle ginseng flavor. I'd actually like it to be a bit stronger but all in all this tea is great. Would probably be good blended with other varieties."
