We apologize this tea is temporarily out of stock. We are among the few companies to offer teas directly from origin. While this has the advantage of superior quality, the disadvantage is longer delivery times.

Estimated arrival date is the middle of September. We'll gladly drop you a note once the fresh batch is here. Please let us know where to mail it:

Description

According to the International Ice Cream Association, Vanilla is by far the most popular flavor, getting a full 23% of all ice cream consumption. Inspired by this love of vanilla, Adagio has created Vanilla Green Tea. Combining the delectable flavor of sweet vanilla beans and delicate Chinese green tea, I'll scream, you'll scream, we'll all scream for... Vanilla Green!

Story

Vanilla story begins with the Totonaco Indians of Mexico, who were the first to unearth its secret. They fell to the Aztecs, who were in turn soon conquered by the Spaniard, under the leadership of Harnando Cortez. Cortez brought his precious plunder, including a few beans of vanilla, back to Spain. He also brought back cocoa. The two were mixed together, and the Spanish nobles spend the next hundred years indulging in the pleasant drink. It was only in the 17th Century that the taste of vanilla became valued on its very own.

"Loved the idea of vanilla green...love the actual tea even more. I like vanilla black tea, so I definitely wanted to give this a try. It's so refreshing and light - I love it and will buy it again."

"I'm not a green tea fan. The addition of the vanilla makes this a good tea. Perfect for a quick work pick me u, add a 1/2 packet of sugar to give it a little sweetness."

"The first cup I had was great, with no sugar or honey. The second time I tried to add some honey, and it's basically one of the worst things I've ever tasted. This should not, under any circumstances be consumed with sweetener. Keep the natural flavor."

"Fantastic hot or cold. This is my favorite of all the greens adagio offers. The vanilla is delicious and creamy. I drink it with half a packet of stevia sweetner."
