Description

According to the International Ice Cream Association, Vanilla is by far the most popular flavor, getting a full 23% of all ice cream consumption. Inspired by this love of vanilla, Adagio has created Vanilla Oolong Tea. Combining the delectable flavor of sweet vanilla beans and fresh Formosa oolong tea from Taiwan, I'll scream, you'll scream, we'll all scream for... Vanilla tea!

Story

Vanilla story begins with the Totonaco Indians of Mexico, who were the first to unearth its secret. They fell to the Aztecs, who were in turn soon conquered by the Spaniard, under the leadership of Harnando Cortez. Cortez brought his precious plunder, including a few beans of vanilla, back to Spain. He also brought back cocoa. The two were mixed together, and the Spanish nobles spend the next hundred years indulging in the pleasant drink. It was only in the 17th Century that the taste of vanilla became valued on its very own.

"My favorite of the flavored oolongs. Vanilla flavoring does not overpower this tea. If you like your vanilla flavoring super strong, then search elsewhere. There are also some mild earthy notes in this tea. The smell is like unsmoked vanilla pipe tobacco. I'm not a smoker, but that is one smell that I really enjoy. I need to find it in a potpourri or cologne. "

"Very similar to the almond oolong - one of the best teas I've had."

"Not as good as the vanilla green tea to me. Smells very natural but the vanilla flavor does not come through quite enough."
