Description

Lemon and tea seem made for each other. Adagio's Lemon Soleil tea combines the lively taste of premium Ceylon black tea with the sour flavor of fresh lemons. This fresh version of this classic pairing will be sure to warm you up on a cold day!

Story

Lemons have a long and questionable history. Many countries claim to be its birthplace, including China, Malaysia, Iran, and the Indus Valley. The latter may win given the discovery of a lemon-shaped earring there, dating from 2500BC. In the second century of our era, lemons were grown in Libya and exported to Rome. There is even a picture of lemon in the mosaic at Pompeii. Lemon's popularity grew during the Middle Ages, when it was called upon to spice up bland meals. And, in an usual twist (ha-ha) lemons were used by the ladies in the court of Louis XIV to accent their lips with a touch of rouge.

"This is a nice robust black tea with a hint of lemon. It's not my favorite lemon black tea though."

"This tea offers a nice black tea taste with a hint of lemon, just as expected. It's nice when I don't have a lemon on-hand to add to tea."

"I've always been a fan of lemon flavored black teas and this is no exception. A 3 minute brew yields a very soft black tea with gentle notes of lemon. Very good hot and iced. I do like stronger lemon flavor though which is why I only gave this 4 stars. I actually prefer the bagged Lemon Lift by Bigelow simply for its stronger lemon flavor. Sad isn't it? "
